Congress fails to pass MH bills before adjourning

Article Abstract:

The Manufactured Housing Improvement Act of 1998 was passed by the House of Representatives under suspended rules restricting debate. However, owing to a large number of legislative agenda, the Senate was unable to work on it before the October adjournment. Other legal issues are the compromise bill on bankruptcy reform affecting manufactured home community residents and the rejection of a request for the rehearing of a case challenging a county roof-pitch ordinance.
