E-mail your customers judiciously

Companies ought to be aware of the differences between traditional direct mail and electronic mail (e-mail) that may not be so obvious yet hold potential disastrous pitfalls. One such pitfall may lie in the frequency with which customers are solicited. E-mail may cost virtually nothing to send and takes considerably less time to send than ordinary mail, but the cost of sending customers too many e-mail letters is their lifetime value if they request to be dropped from one's mailing list.
