The planned merger of house building firms Bryant and Beazer may be halted by bids from Taylor Woodrow and Persimmon. The deals could lead to a change in the size of housebuilding firms on the stock exchange with just a few large quoted firms and no medium sized ones.

Bovis Lend lease rolls out European strategy

Article Abstract:

The plans by Bovis Lend Lease to expand in Europe by acquiring a German building contractor are discussed. Bovis Lend Lease announced after-tax profits of 21.7m pounds sterling in June 2000, an increase of 54% on the previous year.
