Article Abstract:

The British Housing Corporation funding will be approximately 1 billion pounds sterling for the 1996-1997 financial year although starts will rise to 32,400 during the same period. Cape of good housing opportunities

Article Abstract:

There are still 1.5 million people officially designated as homeless in South Africa, and the government is looking to provide many more inexpensive houses and serviced sites. This is in turn fuelling growth in the middle market, where new starts are now running at 40,000 a year. This development offers opportunities for UK housebuilders, as there is now a lack of skills and materials in the middle market.
