MP3.com offers free banners to bands

Article Abstract:

MP3.com will start offering touring bands free banner ads for promoting concert dates. The company is making the banners available for six months at a cost of $1 million in advertising space. The bands can email their tour dates to MP3's artist services channel, which MP3 will post in an ad. The advertising space will be alloted by MP3 on a first-come, first-served basis. MP3 also features a service that allows musicians to see how many users are downloading their songs.

Httprint offers Movaris' PDF software

Article Abstract:

San Francisco, CA-based httprint, an online print company, has started reselling Movaris' Office Courier system which utilizes technologies such as Acrobat Reader to allow online communication between individuals in a print job. The solution enables businesses to upload portable document format files so that users can complete, sign, deliver and approve paperwork online. Httprint also launched its production center for customers and suppliers in Mar 2001.

MyComputer.com ditches free Web tracking service

Article Abstract:

MyComputer.com has announced that it will no longer provide advertising- based free Web tracking services. Instead, the Oream, UT-based company will concentrate on offering paid subscriptions for its e-business services that include basic and premium versions of its Super Stats suite of services. The company has decided to make such move because of falling profits.
