Making the best choices for your digital needs: part 2

Article Abstract:

A panel of manufactured home retailers and community owners/managers were interviewed about the ergonomics, peripherals, maintenance and warranties of the computer systems used in their businesses. All of them agreed that the systems' lifespan could be extended in a clean environment while capabilities could be enhanced with Battery backups and greater memory drives. The printer and the backup system are considered the most important peripherals for their systems but an extended warranty is deemed impractical.

Managing turnover of the sales staff

Article Abstract:

The success of manufactured housing companies in future markets relies significantly on the efficiency and competence of employees. Hiring the right marketing staff requires managers to evaluate the experience, knowledge and attitudes of applicants. It would be crucial to admit applicants who show great interest and commitment to the job and be able to ensure that they undergo extensive training. Managers must also be able to orient potential applicants with the duties and responsibilities of the job.

How high is up?

Article Abstract:

The manufactured housing industry can expect more growth in 1999 by promoting its value, quality and workmanship to the local community and authorities. The industry should not depend mainly on the slight global population rise by about 78 million in 1998, improving quality products and the trend toward multi-section shipments. The industry should be committed to increasing customer awareness and in making local politicians understand its situation.
