BUR contractor converts to TPO

Article Abstract:

Hollis Roofing of Columbus, MS, has shifted to Thermoplastic Polyolefin roofing (TPO) materials because of the growing demand for the product among its clientele. The company, which has spent two decades with mostly built-up roofing and some EPDM work prior to shifting to TPO, said that all indications point to an increasing demand for heat-weld products. Hollis is the roofing contractor for a number of retail businesses, including Home Depots, Kmarts, Lowes and Walmarts.

Roofing may not appear to be a comfortable, profitable career but it, in fact, is and can prove to be a smart career move. This is the image that the National Roofing Contractors Assn (NRCA) would like people to identify with when they think of roofing. The NRCA also identified and has set about creating solutions to address a number of industry issues. These include work force and health and safety concerns, a greater focus on the establishment of performance standards, improvement of the industry's image, the provision of business insurance to contractors, and waste disposal and recycling.
