Phasing in an expansion

Article Abstract:

Queenship Yacht Works Inc has finished the first stage of a three-phase expansion at its new shipyard on the Fraser River in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The shipyard sits on a 9.3-acre site with 1,400 ft of deep river frontage. The first building in the new facility is a pre- engineered, fully insulated and environmentally controlled structural steel building with 90,000 sq ft of floor space that can accommodate assembly of as many as 12 yachts, each of them measuring 60-100 ft in length.

Cruiser Yachts to add jobs, expand its plant

Article Abstract:

The Cruisers Yachts division of KSC International Inc recently conducted a groundbreaking ceremony to mark their second major expansion in three years. The $3 million, 70,000 sq ft expansion of the firm's Oconto, WI, facility will add 150 to 200 new jobs and also add two to three production lines, expanding the total production area by 20%. KCS International agreed to the expansion due to the significant increase in orders being faced by the Division.

Monterey Boats opens new and bigger facility

Article Abstract:

Powerboat manufacturer Monterey Boats Inc has completed the contruction of a manufacturing plant in Williston, FL. The plant, which has been dubbed as the 'cruiser facility,' has 130,000 square feet of production space dedicated to the construction of 24- to 32-foot boats. The facility is situated in a 40-acre site that gives the company allowance for expansion or consolidation of its operations in this area.
