Response Media's eVguide to reach online buyers as package insert

Article Abstract:

Atlanta, GA-based, 22-year-old, direct marketing service Response Media Products Inc (RMP) will launch an advertising-filled, 16-to-24-page booklet called eVguide in Oct 2000, that will be inserted in product packages mailed to active online buyers. The eVguide co-op effort offers retailers what RMP calls an alternative to marketing through catalog buyer or Internet access provider files. The booklet is RMP's first guide. RMP offers consumer and business-to-business marketing services.

Canadian agency raises its DM presence in the US

Maxxcom Inc has purchased a majority interest in Chicago, IL-based TargetCom. The acquisition has provided the Canadian marketing communications group an additional toehold in the US, in addition to its purchase of Accent Marketing Services. TargetCom and its sister companies, bang!zoom and etelligence, bring with them clients such as Sears, Roebuck and Co, Chicago Tribune, Harley-Davidson Inc, Lucent Technologies, Pier 1 Imports Inc, US Robotics and Bally Total Fitness.

Brann repositions, adds new marketing services

Brann Worldwide is planning to develop a separate marketing services division in the US. The decision is part of an overall repositioning of the agency. It indicates that Brann is aiming to pay greater attention to targeting, data analysis, consulting, strategic planning and research to understand how consumerrs buy and the manner in which they want to interact with marketers on a sector-by-sector basis.
