Housebuilders reject 'low value' slur

Article Abstract:

A recent report from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation which accuses UK housebuilders of failing to make adequate investment and of low productivity has been strongly rejected by housebuilding companies. UK homes are put together efficiently, according to the House Builders Federation, and making greater use of technology on site would not necessarily improve quality. Housebuilders also believe that they are good at innovation, and that new homes do not represent poor value for money.
