Scam busters

Article Abstract:

The Commercial Fraud Squad division of the British Transport Police are seeking to reduce the amount of organised criminal activity taking place on construction projects. Corruption can occur when consultants work in-house for clients, which can have an affect on claims put together by other consultants for subcontractors and contractors. Labour may also be open to fraudulent opportunities because of the long start and finish period times involved. Clients are urged to check for consultant connections by studying previous projects and vetting potential firms.
