Technology revolutionizes lettershops

Article Abstract:

Continuous-flow mail inserters are expected to revolutionize the direct- mail industry. Unlike traditional inserters that gather inserts lengthwise, continuous-flow machines gather inserts widthwise, enabling twice as much material to be gathered at the same running speed. They are suitable for high-volume environments because their parts are made with industrial-grade steel rather than aluminum. They can be easily adjusted and maintained and are equipped with computer interfaces.

USPS codes provide better results

Article Abstract:

The US Postal Service (USPS) has created a planet code system that enables mailers to track how their projects are doing as mail processing occurs. The concept started with the advent of the Mailers' Technical Advisory Committee whose mission is to develop solutions that mutually benefit postal customers and the USPS. A planet code is an additional barrcode usually located within the address area that identifies the mailing services company, the job and postal client.

Drop shipping saves direct mailers time and money

Article Abstract:

Drop shipping can be an efficient and cost-effective way for companies to send catalogs and other mailings. Done mostly by direct mailing services providers, a postal customer is said to have drop shipped when the mail is delivered directly to destination postal facilities. The US Postal Service provides huge discounts to postal customers who prepare and sort their mail and deliver the mail as close to the final destination as possible.
