Thomson installs rep monitoring systems

Article Abstract:

Lancaster, PA-based consumer electronics manufacturer Thomson Consumer Electronics will install new agent recording and monitoring solutions from Ra'anana, Israel-based NICE Systems Inc at its customer interaction center. NICE's latest full-time recording platform NiceLog 8.5 and its Nice Universe quality management platform for voice and screen will be integrated with Thomson's Avaya Definity G3 switch and CentreVu Telephony server. The new systems will enable Thomson managers to view synchronized screen and voice recordings when monitoring customer service representatives.

TeleSpectrum replaces its chairman

Article Abstract:

King of Prussia, PA-based telemarketing services provider TeleSpectrum Woldwide Inc has announced that corporate board Chmn Keith Alessi has left the company to pursue an opportunity in higher education. Fenton R. Talbott, who is an operating affiliate at investment company McCown DeLeeuw and Co, has been named to replace Alessi. Talbott worked with several financial services firms prior to joining McCown DeLeeuw. TeleSpectrum operates 31 call centers in North America and the UK.

Peace to lead Experian, GUS; no sale planned

Article Abstract:

Experian Group of Nottingham, UK, will still have John Peace as CEO even as the executive assumes the CEO post in Great Universal Stores PLC (GUS), the Manchester, UK-based parent company of Experian. GUS also denied news of a possible sale of Experian, its information services division. The division reported 900 million pounds sterling in 1998, representing approximately 40% of the total earnings of GUS.
