Toll's quality program satisfies customers

Article Abstract:

Toll Brothers of Huntington, PA, have undertaken a quality control program that aims to produce defect-free houses and increase client satisfaction. The program consists of two presettlement inspections wherein the buyer and construction superintendent inspect the premises and use a checklist to see which items need to be redone or fixed. They conduct a second inspection a week later using the same checklist to see whether the necessary repairs had been done. The company issues the buyer a warranty request form through which the clients can inform Toll of any other complaints about the house after settling in.

How to protect your copyrighted work

Article Abstract:

Builders can prevent the unlawful reproduction of their architectural plans by certain means, and recoup profits lost by infringement of copyright. Robert R Jones Associates, a West Bloomfield, MI-based design and construction company, has all its architectural plans and brochures copyrighted. Copyright infringement can be obvious, and some firms are seeking compensation through the courts. The measures taken by Rottlund, home builder based around Minneapolis and St Paul, MN and Drees, based in Ft Mitchell, KY, are also discussed.
