The US Postal Service (USPS) will launch a corporate advertising campaign in fall 2000 featuring Lance Armstrong, the two-time winner of the Tour de France, with the USPS pro cycling team. The campaign, which was unveiled at the fall 2000 National Postal Forum, aims to improve USPS's corporate brand and promote its core products such as Priority Mail. It will involve placing ad banners on 10,000 USPS vehicles featuring Armstrong's image and the slogan 'Lance Delivers Again.' The vehicles will round several cities, including New York, NY, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, and Philadelphia, PA.

Mailers question impact of no Saturday mail

Article Abstract:

The US Postal Service's (USPS) proposal to cut mail delivery to five days a week has raised concerns from mailers, postal experts and mailing associations. They are concerned about whether the agency would be able to handle the excess volume on Mondays when the no Saturday mail is implemented. The USPS has yet to get congressional approval for discontinuing its six-day delivery.
