When seeking a good plan to invest cash and receive the best return there are a number of steps to follow before speaking to a financial adviser. Investors should be clear on what the investment should deliver and also if they can afford to leave a large sum invested for a number of years. It is adviseable to split a large sum into smaller portions and invest them in different plans to safeguard against risks. The tax positions also need to be studied carefully to avoid paying more tax than is necessary and plans which provide interest and increase capital over a five year period are worth looking at.
