Walking shoes and boots

Article Abstract:

Several low-cut shoes, mid-cut shoes and three-season walking boots were compared on the basis of their shock absorption, grip, breathability, waterproofness, adhesion along with prices. Low-cut shoes include Merrell's Chameleon II Gore-tex XCR priced at Pound 85, Grisport's Dartmoore priced at Pound 69, mid-cut shoes include Merrell's Chameleon II Gore-tex Mid at Pound 90, Salomon's Extend Mid XCR at Pound 80, while Boots include Brasher's Hillmaster GTX at Pound 100, Boreal's Atlas at Pound 100.

Out of Bounds Dance Set

Article Abstract:

The Out of Bounds Dance Set won a gold award in the environment category of the 1992 I.D. Annual Design Review. The set was commissioned by the Jazz Unlimited Dance Co at Encinitas, CA, and consists of a huge white cube intersected at various points and angles by wood and metal spears. Dancers maneuver in the intersected spaces created by the spears. The set is a sculpture inspired by the Japanese sculptor Isamu Noguchi.

Lest we forget Flanders

Article Abstract:

War veterans relive their experiences upon returning to Flanders. This war memorial represents their hard-fought battle, the fruits of which are now being enjoyed by the younger generation. One appreciates liberty more when one has struggled for it like they have done.
