Living standards during the industrial revolution an economist's guide

Article Abstract:

The industrial revolution has changed the world of limited growth in economy and living standard to one where the growth has become permanent and decisive. Theoretical and empirical work on the industrial revolution is reviewed to suggest a new set of stylized facts that could usefully guide future work.
