A clear riposte to her critics and enemies

Article Abstract:

Gayatri Spivak discusses her new book, Death of a Discipline, and the ways in which she adapted her writing style as a result of accusations from her critics that her earlier works had been difficult to read and lacking in clarity. Spivak notes that she found reworking her writing so that it was clearer but retained the same depth of thinking a challenge, but she argues that just because she has adopted a simpler vocabulary does not mean that her ideas will be any easier to understand.
