A foreign country with hostile border controls

Article Abstract:

Many young people in Britain have been affected by the disintegration of their families and face accommodation problems. The UK Foyer movement aims to provide these people with employment and education as well as a home. Some homeless people have enough academic qualifications to go to university but they lack help from their parents and have to pay rent all year round without being able to claim housing benefit if they are studying. Some universities aim to help these people, while others are less helpful.
