Swift response to the uncertainty principle

Article Abstract:

Developments in connectivity, including the Internet and the World Wide Web, have encouraged the development of library consortia, and of multitype library consortia in particular. These can be divided into library-led record/document sharing, vendor-led systems/channel building, joint buyer groups, contracting out and electronic consortial publishing. Students and academic and administrative staff at institutions belonging to one or more consortia benefit from access to an extensive recourse base with the added guarantee of quality control.
