Bona fide or Bonaparte?

Article Abstract:

British prime minister, Tony Blair, has sought to change the role of prime minister. The cabinet has become less important under Blair than it was in the early days of John Major. Prime ministers have to be careful not to push cabinet ministers into resigning. Blair has sought to overcome problems of departmentalism by creating new posts like the unit for policy and innovation. Blair has centralised power despite showing an interest in devolution. He is happy with the role that he has taken on, though some critics could describe it as Bonapartism.

Crash, bang, torrent

Article Abstract:

Thunderstorms, which are typical late summer weather in the UK, are extremely hard to predict because of their localized and sudden nature. Thunderstorms are caused by troughs of air in low pressure systems which rise and, through the process of condensation, form cumulonimbus thunder clouds. Thunderstorms are accompanied by torrential rains often exceeding 100 millimetres in 24 hour periods.
