Holy Roman umpire

Article Abstract:

The visible decline of Pope John Paul II has prompted thoughts about his successor. The choice of the next pope will be particularly difficult, not least because the College of Cardinals, which elects the pope from among its members, is an elderly body. Contenders include the Archbishop of Milan, Italy, Carlo Maria Martini, a universally respected but austere Jesuit, and the Archbishop of Paris, France, Jean-Marie Aaron Lustiger, a Jewish convert. Primate of Belgium Godfried Danneels would be a safe, but possibly dull, choice. The vigorous Nigerian Francis Arinze is another possible candidate.

Sperm competition in primates

Article Abstract:

The article written by L. Brown, R.W. Shumaker and J.F. Downhower regarding sperm competition among primates is misleading due to its failure to take into account the findings made by various scientists. These include Short's study on intraspecific variations, Clutton-Brock's research on polyandry and large testes in primates and Stockley and Purvis' study on variations in testes size among mammals.
