...believe that Commonwealth studies has a lot to offer the world

Article Abstract:

The founding president of Trent University, Canada, and of the Association for Commonwealth Studies argues that, with its capacity for embracing, transcending and bridging cultures from every continent, the Commonwealth potentially has a great role to play on the world stage, but that at present the Commonwealth's biggest problem is its low profile. In order to rectify this situation, it is suggested that more universities should have Commonwealth studies programmes through which could be educated about what the Commonwealth has to offer.
