3-way joint venture deploys broadband CDMA

Article Abstract:

Japan Telecom Company Ltd, Nissan Motor Company Ltd and AirTouch International will form a joint venture, to be called IMT-2000 Planning Company Ltd, that will provide telecommunications services using broadband code division multiple access technology. The joint venture, which is still subject for approval by Japan's Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, will have a 200 million yen in capital and will be based in Tokyo, Japan.

The Automotive engineering Exposition 2004, one of Japan's largest technical expositions for automotive engineers, attracted exhibitors from a variety of business. In the section featuring advanced technologies, visitors saw fluorocarbons free car air conditioners and hybrid vehicle that combine fuel cell with conventional technologies.
