Sales of calculators are expected to be very good this Christmas selling season. Some manufacturers are predicting unit sales to be double those of 1983. Printers and scientific calculators are leading the sales increases. Prices are lower this year. Photographs of some products are included.

Manufacturers are predicting very good sales for personal stereos in the 1984 Christmas selling season. Sales of personal stereos have been increasing at between ten and fifteen percent per year. Some suppliers are expecting demand to pass supply. A photograph of Sony products is included.

The demand for scientific calculators, electronic slide rules and printing calculators is increasing dramatically. Merchandisers are concentrating on these products for increased profits in the fall of 1984. Despite greater unit sales, price erosion is expected to cut in on profits.
