So when are we going to get the new technology?

Article Abstract:

Advances in the defense industry are always met with anticipation for the next generation of the product. These replacement technologies take several years to conceptualize and design. The designers are extremely important to the defense of the US and to the advances in defense and security technology. Several marketing representatives are more excited about the next generation of their product than the introduction of the product they have currently available.

The need to keep the defense and security edge, part two

Article Abstract:

Defense and security efforts are even more important during 1996, as more high technology devices make their way to the market. Spies, drug lords and smugglers now use high technology electronic devices, making security even more difficult. To make matters worse, government support for TEMPEST is weakening and the budget for defense is increasing at a meager level. Therefore, industry must take responsibility for guarding its own secrets.
