ASQC Net changes for the 1996-97 member year

Article Abstract:

The American Society of Quality Control (ASQC) is making two changes to ASQC Net, its electronic bulleting board (BBS), from July 1, 1996. These changes consist of terminating the facility of Internet access through the BBS, and adding a tie-up with an online service provider to provide affinity benefit for the Internet and BBS. The affinity option provides unlimited access to ASQC Net via an area-code access number or via Telnet. A second option offers 12 hours of Internet connection service through the BBS during the membership year. ASQC members can choose from any of these options.

Members of the Electrical Contractors' Association will have to install new electrotechnical systems over the next decade from 1996 and there needs to be a change in training programmes.
