Article Abstract:

The validity of questionnaires depends heavily on the volume of accurate data gathered and the efficiency of the statistical analysis of the data. To ensure that reliable data is gathered, Telrad Telecommunication and Electronic Industries Ltd. developed unique questionnaire methodology based on quality function deployment. The new methodology ensured that the objectives were properly covered in the questionnaires and enhanced the quality and consistency of the data gathered. A discussion of the key features of the methodology is presented.

As QS-9000 deadlines loom, avoid certification delays

Article Abstract:

Majority of tier-one automotive suppliers are likely to be delayed in meeting the automaker's forthcoming certification deadlines. The problem is due to an increased number of suppliers requiring certification and a growing but limited number of authorized registrars and QS-9000 certified auditors. Thus, tier-one automotive suppliers are advised to have enough manpower, extensive support and a real working knowledge of the standard to hasten the QS-9000 certification process.
