EPA's remediation efforts double from 2002 to 2003

Article Abstract:

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates that because of its enforcement actions a 131 percent of increase is seen in the pollutants reduced, treated or properly managed by industrial facilities and other entities. The EPA also reports the results of many other actions performed by it, which includes the removal of more than 98 million lb of sulfur dioxide from the air.

EPA revises pharmaceuticals NESHAP

Article Abstract:

Amendments rectifying the use of additional testing methods by pharmaceutical production facilities in the national emission standard for hazardous air pollutants (NESHAP) by the EPA are presented. An update on the 'List of Lists' and the 'Ammonia hazard alert', and the issue of corrosion report are discussed.
