Planning is the key to a project's success

Article Abstract:

Careful planning of all parts of an operation will ensure its successful completion. Managing engineers should draw up a method statement which gives all the information necessary for the contractors to carry out the work. Quantities, quality and costs must be clear and in sufficient detail for use on site. An example of the type of information is given on a job assignment sheet but the method chosen must be integrated with those of the contractor.
