Article Abstract:

Quality Progress magazine presents the 10th Annual QA/QC Services Directory to provide its readers with the means to easily locate companies that offer quality services. Although the 1997 directory has 8% less companies than the 1996 directory, the companies it listed down boast of service quality that ranges from ISO 9000, QS-9000, to ISO 14000. Companies are enumerated in the directory in two ways, namely, in a matrix where information is supplied graphically and in a geographic-index type.

Article Abstract:

The RAB plans to serve the requirements of EMS stakeholders by creating an accreditation program for ISO 14000 environmental management systems (EMS) registrars. Joseph R. Dunbeck will head RAB's EMS program, along with quality management system (QMS) activities. The program will benefit new registrars because a single audit team will give evaluations of ISO 9000 and ISO 14000. Existing QMS registrars may also join the program.
