Quality quest: one company's successful attempt at implementing TQM

Article Abstract:

The company uses a technique, called Quality Quest, to implement total quality management (TQM) process. It is very important for company managers to set realizable goals and adopt strategies that are acceptable to everyone in the company. Success of the TQM programme depends on the attitudes of the top leadership. Total involvement of employees is very important. Various aspects such as training management, setting goals and solving problems that arise from time-to-time, in TQM are discussed.

UNC Charlotte measures the effects of its quality initiative

Article Abstract:

Continuous quality improvement (CQI) requires the empowerment of employees. A survey done by the University of North Carolina in Charlotte before the name of the management technique was changed from total quality management (TQM) to CQI at the university. CQI is successful in customers' services and orientation of new work policies but not in increasing employees' job satisfaction.

The power of quality thinking in sales and management

Article Abstract:

Issues concerning the use of quality thinking techniques in the fields of sales and management are discussed. Traditional ways of viewing the selling process are examined and new methods using quality principles are proposed.
