Using life-cycle costing tools

Article Abstract:

The importance of life-cycle costing (LCC) has been recognized in evaluating long-term factors in plant management. LCC is not just about financial management, it also offers a model LCC policy for capital project management. Use of LCC can result in successful start-ups, lower maintenance costs and higher operating efficiencies. In chemical plants, LCC can identify and quantify all associated project costs over the expected life of the project.
