What will it take to reform engineering education?
Article Abstract:
An honest-to-goodness engineering education reform entail the implementation of several vigorous actions. One of them is that employers should state clearly the intellectual skills they expect from engineering graduates. Another action that is recommended is that advisory boards of engineering colleges must become active advocates of educational change. Industry managers at all levels must also encourage and support the involvement of talented engineers and managers as program evaluators of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
