Diversion through compost bin distribution

Article Abstract:

The Portland, OR, metropolitan region launched a five-year compost bin subsidy program in 1994. The program involves the distribution of low-cost bins to residents. The Metro Regional Government employed different forms of advertising to promote residential compost bin usage.
