Iowa continues to search for tire markets

Article Abstract:

Efforts by Iowa state officials to eliminate tire dumps are examined as concern grows over the spread of West Nile Virus by mosquitoes, which typically use the dumps as breeding grounds. Efforts include partnerships with private recyclers, power plants, cement kilns, and using shredded and crumb rubber in government projects.
