Spectacular simulation in Cardiff

Article Abstract:

The first UK Aircraft Fire Simulation System has been installed at the Cardiff International Airport by Draeger Safety. The system, which includes two sections, copying the Dash 8 models and the Boeing 767, utilizes liquid petroleum gas in training firefighter for potential fires inside and outside the planes. Details of the system and the other safety measures empolyed by the airport are presented.

The Bedforshire and Luton Fire and Service Rescue was the first to implement a paper-free accident-reporting and risk assessment software system. Rivo Safeguard systems software provides a central control of database which can be accessed by firefighters from any location.
