A word or two on "ethics": a reply to Arboleda and Murray

Article Abstract:

Stephen O Murray and Manuel G Arboleda's separate critiques on a review of Murray's 1995 book, 'Latin American Male Homosexualities,' addressed the critic more than the criticism itself. This, despite the critic concerned's efforts at keeping to a discussion, not of personalities, but of ideas and procedures. A further look at Murray's work reveals that, aside from disorganization and lack of editing, the basic arguments proposed by 'Latin American Male Homosexualities' also appeared confused and inconsistent. As such, Murray's work degenerated into a mere stereotypical depiction of male same-sex relationships.
