Bordeaux Chateaus pull back on 1999 futures prices

Prices of certain 1999 Bordeaux wines have been reduced by up to 15% on 1998 prices. The market for the wines is quiet, with prices held or cut, owing to bad weather affecting the quality of the 1999 vintage.

First-growths set new price record for young Bordeaux

Prices for the first-growths of the five Bordeaux estates in France have reached a record high in 2001 as the 2000 vintages are released. Prices were extremely high, but despite this consumers continued to buy the stocks.

'95 Bordeaux futures prices climb to record levels with unprecedented demand

Article Abstract:

The 1995 Bordeaux vintage futures are difficult to purchase now because of the huge demand. Prices for first growths are about $100 per bottle for Latour and the other five domaines, and prices for other the wines of other chateaus have also increased.
