The biggest advance in power has made the quality of home coffeemakers to finally catch up to the quality of the coffee going into them and another major improvement is the widespread adoption of thermal coffee pots. Details about three coffeemakers, the Technivorm Clubline KB-741, the Newco OCS-8 and the Capresso CoffeeTEC are presented.

Estate coffee: does it matter where, how and by whom your beans are grown?

Article Abstract:

Many restaurants that studiously try to offer a variety of wines and beverages often serve coffee that has no particular quality. Specialty or estate coffees comprise about 10% of the market, and are served in finer restaurants. Estate coffees are appealing because of their superior flavor and processing methods.

Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is, at about $40 a pound, the most expensive coffee in the world. Jamaica Blue beans grown in good years can be delicious. Buyers should be careful to purchase the coffee only through reputable sources.
