Morinaga Milk Industries has added a Morinaga Apple and Lemon Water variety, suitable for babies one month old and over, to its series of drinks for babies. This beverage, which contains no sugar has a nine-month ambient shelf life and is priced at [yen] 220 for a 500 ml polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle. Other varieties, for babies over three months old, are Ion Drink Aqua Peach, White Grape Water, Oolong Tea and Aloe Drink, which contains no tannins or caffeine.

JAPAN: TAKARA SHUZO'S HEALTHY DRINKS

Article Abstract:

Takara Shuzo has introduced two healthy drinks, both priced at [yen] for a 1.5 litre polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle. One is a Japanese tangerine variety which contains 10% fruit juice, natural spring water and 1000 mg of vitamin C. The other, TaKaRa Fureai Kazoku Aki Budo, contains 10% Concord grape juice, which provides natural polyphenols. The drink has no added sugar.

JAPAN: POKKA'S CONCENTRATED ENRICHED PRUNE JUICE

Pokka Corp has introduced a 120% concentrated prune juice drink with added iron and dietary fibre. Named Pokka Oishii Chiara Prune, it is priced at [yen] 200 for a 100 ml glass bottle which provides half of the recommended daily intake for iron.
