The wines of my year

Article Abstract:

There were many good opportunities for sampling wine in 1998. Many 1995, 1996, and 1997 vintages were released this year and some wineries offered retrospective tastings. The 1990s are remarkable for the quality wines produced during the decade. The year 1998 was also an interesting time to be introduced to single-grower French Champagne and wines.
