Twin peaks in Bordeaux

Article Abstract:

Pierre Lurton is a member of the first family of Bordeaux and is the first man to simultaneously run two properties, Cheval-Blanc and Chateau d'Yquem, both flourishing in business under his control. In 1980, the greatest decade in Bordeaux's history, he presided over all the vintages at Clos Fourtet, raising the quality of the wine.

Battle of Bordeaux

Chateau Giscours in Margaux, Bordeaux, is producing high quality vintages in spite of legal disputes over the exportation company which forms a part of the business and the vineyards in the property. The currently released Giscours 2003 vintage is of very good quality, giving the hope of a better future for the wines.
