Venice, canals and all, comes to the desert

Article Abstract:

The Venetian hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, is a resort, casino, and convention center. It is designed to evoke Venice, with its canals and architectural sensibilities. It will also have numerous restaurants run by world-class chefs, a spa run by Canyon Ranch, and a Madame Tussaud's max museum. The hotel is scheduled to open in stages.

Ontario comes in from the cold

Article Abstract:

Ice wine is a sweet, rare wine made of frozen grapes. The right weather conditions are necessary, along with a combination of Riesling, Vidal and Gewurztraminer grapes. Ontario vintners are offering very good versions of ice wine. Several of these winemakers are profiled.
