Heat exchanger limits fiber dryer emissions
Article Abstract:
The Swiss Combi ecoDry heat exchanger system is installed in several locations in the US, including Inca Presswood Pallets Ltd and a particleboard plant owned by Genstar Capital Partners. Tough environmental regulations made installation of the system important in both locations. The system uses a closed steam loop with indirect energy output to achieve its only output, which is steam. The system eliminates the harmful emissions previously were put in the air by other systems.

Article Abstract:
The forest products industry must introduce value-added products to maintain financial viability during cycles of low prices and insufficient demand. Value-added products can be customer specific as companies utilize entrepreneurial work groups. Teamwork among the forester, the manufacturer and the sales agent are necessary.
