Quebec MDF pioneer strives for market niche

Article Abstract:

Uniboard Canada, already a pioneer in the medium-density fiberboard field, has introduced an innovative high-density fiberboard (HDF) product that it calls MultiLook Prestige. The product is produced using specialized technology that helps it resist moisture. The fiberboard company is diverting a growing share of its mill output to Canadian and American markets to meet increasing domestic demand. Uniboard is using two-stage refining to yield HDF panels with improved machinability.
