I just recently went to see my family practicioner and while taking nexium for a year and a half, prescribed by my doctor I started getting stomach pains here and there. Not sure what it was the doc asked how long I was on nexium and he said that is a long time being on a medication without looking deeper, so he said lets do a Upper GI. I just got back Monday from seeing polyps on my stomach from this screening and now I have to go in and see if they are cancerous. They will be doing a scope, or they say they will, haven't gotten the call. Could the polyps be caused by the nexium I have been taking?
