Bordering on road rage

Article Abstract:

California must urge the Dept of Transportation that a major chunk of the $700 million earmarked for border road construction for the next six years should be used for the construction of Route 905. Without the six-lane Route 905, the four-lane Otay Mesa Road on the US-Mexico border will continue to be clogged with 44,000 vehicles daily, majority of which are on the road on account of the North American Free Trade Agreement. Originally designed as a city street and dotted with potholes, Otay Mesa is an unlikely international byway as it has many stop lights and it lacks turn lanes or turn signals.
