Transfer pricing reconsidered

Article Abstract:

Ronan's transfer pricing scheme formulated suggests that profit can be achieved through honest communication between divisions or companies making independent production decisions. The scheme has been modified by T. Groves and M. Loeb with the recommendation that there should be a core that will make the decision on the amount of the transferred commodity. The modification of the scheme is expected to establish equilibrium through honest communication and adequate production.

Agricultural pricing and public investment

Article Abstract:

Agricultural supply does not readily respond to price changes but is sensitive to changes in agricultural infrastructure investment. This fact supports the government taxation of agriculture and government financing to support the agricultural infrastructure. Such investment in the agricultural infrastructure leads to the generation of a taxable surplus which improves rural living standards.
